Do you really want followers?

Saw a post on Yahoo about twitter... they put up 5 points or so that they felt like the world should know about how twitter works... The point that intrigued me was number 2. Read what they said below:

2. "It's not just photos that you're sharing."

Ever snapped a photo with your phone, then uploaded it to post on Twitter? You may have shared more than just an image. ICanStalkU.com was set up by tech consultants to alert Twitter users that their smartphone pics are embedded with GPS data, making it so easy to determine your precise latitude and longitude that "a first grader could stalk someone," says co-founder Larry Pesce. For its part, Twitter's image-hosting service strips geotagged data from phone-uploaded pics, but third-party services like TwitPic are still vulnerable. Twitter has twice suspended ICanStalkU's account, calling the site's cautionary tweets spam. But Pesce says, "If we thought of it, someone else much more evil and smarter has been using it."

Yeah... Seems like sending a twitpic with an unlocked Twitter account could potentially be a lil dangerous. I promise, if you wanna exchange pictures these days, its almost better for you to get the person to mail you a polaroid - they can't be digitally edited, they can't be instantly forwarded and posted all over the internet and they DEFINITELY can't be "embedded with GPS data". Its relatively safe and secure... unless you got a problem with me sticking it on my refrigerator with one of those little vegetable magnets.
